They show two different styles of shift rods from Dynojet in the 135mm.Cblast you say the rods sent with the Vortex will work with this set up? Or as Seno said he got the 135mm rod? not sure what route to go..Thanks for input

The rod that comes with the vortex rearsets works, but you have to cut and re-thread the standard thread end. It needed to be a little shorter to make it all fit and have the peg in the correct position. Was not hard at all.

Either that or you can buy aftermarket rods in lengths that come increments of just a few mm. There is bound to be one that will work for any given setup. You can even join two smaller rods together to get the right length. Best thing might be to work with whatever rods you have to find the length you want, then order a nice shiny new one.

Now I'm really smitten by this thing. I have ridden quickshifters in the past. Never have I felt one deliver on its promise in quite this way. Can not get that last ride out of my head. Now the parts are comin together in a way I have always wanted but never actually felt gel so perfectly. Priscilla's new aggressive nature, this creamy smooth torquey stable platform, but above 8000, a rip snorting, screaming helion bitch, coming to scrape claws against bone...
Like a tidal wave of torque bowling you over with nothing but this sweet fraction shift, a seemless wave cresting forever... Relentless drive.

Needless to say I like the shifter.

Thank you for all the help getting her set up right!

Stock footpeg assy has the gear shift lever clamped to the shift shaft. Annitori and all shifters with a strain gauge sensor require shift linkage rod between the shift pedal and the shift shaft. All rearsets are equipt with such a rod but none on the stockers. If you you could find a spot above the stock shift lever where you could bolt a heim joint from one end of a shift rod, you could drill a hole in the stock shift pedal and bolt the other heim joint there. The strain gauge would be threaded in the middle of the shit rod the same way it is with the shift rod on reasets that have the Annitori. Either setup would probably work just as good. I think the old DynoJet shifter was set up with a vertical shift rod and strain gauge between the stock shift pedal and an engine bolt on the Gen1 ZX-14.

See 4th post on this thread for pic.

Thats what i pretty much had in mind, was just curious if it was done/could be done horizontally. As to me it is better looking. But my 1st choice/priority would be to have function over looks. It should be able to be mounted as pictured, or the second heim joint would be required?
Thanks for the input

Quick question.
I went to the MotoMummy site and they only have HM quickshifters for 2008's.
Is there an HM quickshifter for 2007's or will the 2008 version fit?

There certainly is a substantial price difference between the Annitori and HM.
Cblast seems extremely pleased with the Annitori and Rook likes the extra adjustability of the HM but Cblast seems to be doing just fine without it.
Plus Rook seems to have the odd missed shift issue where Cblast doesn't?
It seems that the Annitori would perhaps be the best around value.
I don't mind spending extra dollars for added quality and functionality but is it really worth it in this case?
Any feedback on which unit to go for here would really be appreciated as you guys have now sold me on a quick shifter?
One last silly question from someone with no experience with these units is can you still shift normally with the clutch if you want to even with a quick shifter installed?
I know it defeats the purpose but I'd like to know anyway.

Yannih. .. the same quickshifter will work on any kawasaki and suzuki with plug stick coils after the 05+ years.
I originally had the rl quick shifter. The rl and hm quickshifter were originally made by the same company for anitori. They maybe hard to fimd as anitori is now making there own quickshifter in house. The Qs pro. The rl and hm have been discontinued by anitori..I just went through a 4 month process of getting warranty work done on my rl quick shifter. Not warranted any more, but they did offer me the Qs pro at a discounted price.. stock and availability of the new Qs pro is back ordered until the meet the demands to replace/and fill new orders.
You may still find the rl an hm units by other vendors though.

Yannih, you can still use your clutch, I use my clutch for normal/slow pace riding. The Annitori quick shifter has three settings so it has some adjustability. The only thing I don't like about it, it cuts the ignition when the shift lever is moved resulting in the ignition being cut out momentarily. It doesn't know if your up shifting or down shifting. So when I pull in the clutch and blip the throttle while down shifting the throttle response isn't always as crisp as I would like. I know I can work around this with practice because it doesn't do it every time. Overall I love this toy and will have one on whatever bikes I own from this day forward.

Thanks guys.

Blkcasper, I wasn't aware of the changes related to the Annitori range. I have to admit Cblasts description had my attention but that was the Annitori RL-2 HM version.

Im assuming the model Cblast has is no longer available and the QS Pro is all I can now get.

And Rook / Cblast, your opinions on wfozx14's point re changing without the quickshifter not being perfect?

Apologies with all the questions but I want to ensure I get the right model, extra dollars or not...

Yannih here's a link that may help you out with info and diffrences between the 2 quick shifters.
. I had the RL Light. Both are still available through distributers. Motomummy.com , Ebay, ect

RL- Light

HM quick shifter

The QS PRO is all new. They still haven't published any info on there site. Here is some info for you.
Scroll down in add. It says for KTM but same one is offered for all bikes. Copied fron same Ebay AD

Your text to link here...

UPDATE: JULY 8, 2014

Finally!!!! Our bosses have released the first information about our new 2014 Annitori QS PRO Quickshifter, and as we suspected, there are a huge number of changes as compared to the old version Annitori RL. We really believe you will like what we have done for the new QS PRO…

But first, we need to let everyone know that the new Annitori QS PRO is now a 100% Annitori designed and engineered quickshifter. For many reasons (none of which are part of a public discussion), our bosses have decided that for the best interests of the Annitori quickshifter going into the future, the relationship with our former supplier on this product had to come to an end. But that is all good for you the customer!

Here is what we can tell you so far, and although this is NOT the fully in-depth “detailed” information list (our bosses want to keep that for the final release campaign!), here is what the “old RL” was, and that the NEW Annitori QS Pro will be so you all have an idea of just how much technology we are talking about here:

Fully adjustable kill time – the old RL was a fixed kill time shifter, the QS PRO will be fully adjustable so you can tune the shifter exactly as you need! You asked for it, and we did it!

Fully adjustable sensitivity – the old RL had three wide range “fixed” settings for sensitivity, the QS PRO is fully adjustable so you can tune the QS PRO to exactly what your machine needs! Again, you asked for this, and now you have it!

PUSH, PULL and BOTH directional settings – the old RL was fixed to a “both” direction, but the new QS PRO can be set for PUSH, or for PULL, or for BOTH. You choose, you decide. More then anything else compared to the old RL, you wanted this and we made it happen!

Strain gage design – same as the old RL, so you still get the absolute finest in technology and capabilities

All NEW electronics – not an update, not a software addition, but the QS PRO uses the absolute finest electronics with increased capability and vastly improved reliability to both protect the controller and eliminate issues found in previous designs. This is not in any way a “redesign” of the old RL, this is a unique controller with changes that make the QS PRO as bulletproof as our engineers could create. The QS PRO controller is a seriously robust and quantitative leap forward because now that this is an Annitori design, we want to be able to stand behind our product as our customers expect! There is no question the new QS PRO delivers!

100% Stand Alone design – the QS PRO does not need any other product to hook into, so no problems with interface, communication or interference. You can have a World Superbike with every option on the planet, or a bone stock bike. The QS PRO will work just the same for you.

ALL NEW setup procedure – the bosses are very secret about this for the moment, but in short we are using the newest in electronic communication to allow our customers the fastest, simplest and quickest route to making changes to any of the settings. But trust us, this is a very advanced and unique method of setup that will be the envy of our competitors. And as we move into the future we think the QS PRO will prove to be the industry standard for everyone!

Completely sealed and weatherproof – No LED’s to burn out, no buttons to fail, no openings or external add-ons to possibly compromise the shifter over time. You all have asked for durable, so we think we have given you everything here you want!

How much more can you ask for then that…?!!!

Thanks again, and if there is anything at all we can assist you with, or questions we can answer, just let us know and we will be happy to do the best we can!

Rofl...just passing on the info...took me 5 months of calling, emailing ,and complaining to get my warranty replacement. Guess now I know why it took so long. Only down side is that you need an NFC reader program to make changes and modify settings. They haven't released software yet. But modes can be done with your cell phone or pc with Bluetooth device. It was well worth the headache and wait. Just need a bike now to install it on.
